In short: Both of these let water into places it cannot leave. One is caught before tiling, the other before the pour, and neither is visible afterwards.
Pinholes are not a small version of a hole
A membrane is a continuous barrier or it is not a barrier. Pinholes through a wet area membrane mean water reaches the substrate every time the shower runs, and the tiles above conceal it completely. We check membranes in Marsden Park after application and before tiling, which is the only moment this is visible.
The vapour barrier under the slab
A vapour barrier that stops short of the slab edge leaves a path for ground moisture into the slab. Like everything at pre-pour, it is trivially correctable while the concrete is in the truck and permanent afterwards.
Blacktown's north west corridor
Marsden Park is building fast across Elara and the surrounding releases, and fast programs compress the gap between a trade finishing and the next one covering their work. That gap is where independent inspection fits.
